For the first time in 18 months, I slept through the entire night. No nightmares, no 3 AM wake-ups staring at the ceiling, no reaching for my phone to scroll until dawn.
It's been a journey to get here:
- Started therapy 6 months ago
- Got connected with a veteran support group
- Made some lifestyle changes (exercise, cutting back on caffeine)
- Found music that helps me wind down
Small wins matter. If you're in the thick of it, hold on. Progress is possible. It's slow and it's hard, but it's real.
